Biography

Raised in rural Arkansas, Naomi defied the odds as a first-generation college student. Her journey began at Henderson State University, where she spent three transformative years while also gaining work experience at the Chaney Law Firm as a file clerk. Driven by a passion for leadership, Naomi transferred to Texas A&M University Texarkana. There, she honed her skills and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in general studies, with concentrations in Leadership and Interdisciplinary Studies.

After earning her degree, she embarked on a fulfilling career path at The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana, serving as the Executive Assistant to the Chancellor. Her time there provided invaluable insights into the world of higher education and administration.

Seeking new challenges and opportunities, Naomi ventured to Texas A&M University, joining the Houston PSC as a Regional Advisor. In this role, she dedicated herself to guiding students through the admissions process, helping them navigate the path to their academic and professional goals. Her journey from rural Arkansas to the vibrant city of Houston shaped her perspective and fueled her commitment to empowering others through education. Naomi is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of students and communities and looks forward to continuing this mission with the Office for Youth Engagement and LevelUp Texas.
