Marlene Valdez

Marlene Valdez is a program coordinator serving the Houston area. With a devout belief in walking alongside young minds during such a crucial phase of their life, Marlene has dedicated herself to empowering students by elevating their understanding of post-secondary knowledge and instilling life skills necessary for success.

Marlene’s journey in youth engagement began during her own secondary years while engaging in leadership camps. There, she found her calling in service, a passion that stayed with her during her time at Texas A&M University. At A&M, Marlene actively participated in community-based organizations that laid the foundation of her current endeavors. After graduating, Marlene served as an educator where she taught students of diverse backgrounds and experiences the foundations of English. Today, as a program coordinator, Marlene’s fervent approach, honed through years of experience and unwavering commitment, continues to guide students in Houston through journeys in and beyond the classroom.
